Romanov sheep are native to the Volga region, imported to Germany, France and the United States in the 19th century, and today they are distributed throughout the world. Animals are distinguished not only by high fertility, but also by good survival rate of offspring, they are well adapted to cold climates and have a high feed conversion rate. With low levels of milk productivity, Romanov sheep are valued for the quality of their wool and the taste of meat.
